Show Off Your Itasha at CALGARY EXPO!

Do you have an incredible wrapped or custom vehicle that turns heads and showcases your love for anime, gaming, or pop culture? CALGARY EXPO is looking for passionate fans to display their geek-themed cars, trucks, and motorcycles at our convention!

An Itasha (痛車) car—aka a “cringe car" in Japanese slang—features vibrant, high-quality artwork of anime, video game, or comic book/manga characters, transforming an ordinary vehicle into a stunning, fandom-fueled masterpiece.

Applying does not guarantee acceptance. Selected participants will be alerted by show staff and will receive two (2) programming badges for all show days entrance to CALGARY EXPO 2026, but will be responsible for all travel-related costs. Accepted vehicles must be available for load-in during designated times as determined by show management and must adhere to event, convention center, and fire marshal requirements throughout the show.

By submitting this application, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that applying does not guarantee acceptance into the CALGARY EXPO Itasha display. Selection is at the discretion of show management, and accepted participants will be notified by show staff.
If selected, I agree to abide by all event, convention center, and fire marshal regulations regarding the display and operation of my vehicle during the event.
I acknowledge that I am responsible for all travel-related costs associated with bringing my vehicle to the event.
I agree to arrive and load in during the designated times provided by show management and to keep my vehicle in the designated display area for the duration of the event.
I understand that failure to comply with any event guidelines may result in the removal of my vehicle from the display and/or forfeiture of my participation.
