Fan Film Fest Submission Form

Show us your creativity! Submit your short film for a chance to be featured in FAN EXPO’s first-ever Fan Film Fest. Five filmmakers will be selected to have their films screened live at the event, hosted by a special guest host and judged by an industry jury. One winning director will take home the grand prize.

 

Submission Guidelines:

  • Films must be 3–5 minutes long
    • Family-friendly (no excessive gore, nudity, strong language, or hate speech)
    • Submissions must be original works created and owned by the entrant and produced without the use of generative AI
    • Open to registered attendees only (badge required)
  • Filmmakers must be 18+ or have parental/guardian permission to participate

 

Rights & Ownership:
Entrants must own or have permission to use all music, footage, images, and other materials included in their submission. By submitting a film, participants confirm that their work is original and does not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.

By submitting to this contest you grant FAN EXPO permission to publicly screen your submitted film during the Fan Film Fest event.

This year’s Fan Film Fest celebrates the spirit of fandom and imagination. Films can explore themes such as adventure, cosplay culture, conventions, heroes vs villains, or the joy of fandom communities. Creators are encouraged to have fun and think creatively!
